Deputy Chief Aaron Beemer has been with the Mason City Fire Department since 2000.  He has been a Hazmat Technician since 2000 and joined the North Iowa Hamzat Team in 2006.  He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2018 and later that same year Deputy Fire Chief of Operations. 

 

Chief Beemer received his Associate’s Degree in Fire Science from North Iowa Community College and his Bachelors in Fire Administration from Waldorf University.  He is also certified by the State of Iowa as a Firefighter II, Instructor I, Fire Officer II, Fire and Arson Investigator, Paramedic and Hazardous Materials Technician.

 

As the Deputy Chief of Operations, Chief Beemer directs the day to day operations of the fire department and also serves as the team leader for the North Iowa Hazmat Team.  When not at work Aaron enjoys spending time camping and traveling.
